FBI — New E-Scams & Warnings

FBI — New E-Scams & Warnings
Cyber Criminals Using Photo-Sharing Programs to Compromise Computers
05/30/13—The FBI has seen an increase in cyber criminals who use online photo-sharing programs to perpetrate scams and harm victims’ computers. These criminals advertise vehicles online but will not provide pictures in the advertisement. They will send photos on request. Sometimes the photo is a single file sent as an e-mail attachment, and sometimes the victim receives a link to an online photo gallery.
The photos can and often contain malicious software that infects the victim’s computer, directing the user to fake websites that look nearly identical to the real sites where the original advertisement was seen. The cyber criminals run all aspects of these fake websites, including “tech support” or “live chat support” and any “recommended” escrow services. After the victim agrees to purchase the item and makes the payment, the criminals stop responding to correspondence. The victims never receive any merchandise.

kuler

kuler
Kuler uses themes comprising of five colors  Depending on the type of color scheme you would like, different rules govern which colors appear in each theme. These rules have not been created by Adobe, and instead fallback on a set of design principles that specifically relate to color. They are:
  • Analogous: Create themes from similar colors which are adjacent on the color wheel.
  • Monochromatic: Use one color as a base with additional colors suggested based on variation in the intensity and lightness of the base hue.
  • Triad: Create a contrasting theme using a three-point color wheel selector.
  • Complementary: Use two opposing colors on the color wheel to create a theme with complementary colors.
  • Compound: Uses multiple hues to come up with fairly unexpected combinations.
  • Shades: For a very subtle theme with small variations in the base hue’s shade.
It is also possible to throw the rules of color completely out of the window and choose Custom, which lets you add swatches in whichever order you want.

FalconFour’s Ultimate Boot CD/USB 4.6

March 31, 2013
Hola amigos. I don’t speak Spanish, but, you know, trying to stay hip. Like actually releasing a new version, that sounds like an awesome idea, doesn’t it? Hell, v4.5 had so many holes that’ve been fixed in v4.6, it made 4.5 look like Swiss cheese. And I’m sure the Swiss have even used this thing. It’s been all the way around the internet and back – in fact, v4.6 was created on a laptop I bought from a guy on eBay (just shopping around) that uses my disc as well! I was amazed. This thing has seen some mileage.
