You can also make a custom setting in Chrome to send only the parameters to Google that you want. In the Settings panel, click on Manage Search Engines. Make a "new" search engine but make the query go to Google (or YouTube, or whatever) with only the parameters you want. You can start with the url for Google and prune down the input encoding or the sourceid or whatever you want, or just make the path be "/search?q=%s" if you want to go really minimal.

SEQUIM—The Sequim Police Department is experiencing an increased number of reports of phone scams. The callers are claiming to be from the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) and demanding payment for money owed. The public is advised to be cautious and to never give personal information over the phone.
If you receive a call that you suspect is a scam, hang up and report the call to the Sequim Police Department at 683-7227 so they can monitor trends. The Washington State Attorney General’s Office has set up an on-line blog where consumers can also report phone scams. Go to www.atg.wa.gov and search on phone scams.
