Obama’s CTO: Line Up Tech Nerds - Barack Obama’s run for the White House set new standards in effectively utilizing internet resources and social networking to garner votes, so it comes as no surprise that the Illinois Democrat plans on creating a Chief Technology Officer cabinet-level position should he defeat John McCain November 4. Speculation has already started brewing over who could land that important job with D.C. insiders pointing to candidates like Google “chief internet evangelist” Vint Cerf, Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos and Princeton professor Ed Felten.
